In
order to make a meaningful difference to the lives of
teachers in Cambodia, it is essential that they can
rely on CITA's continued existence. Teachers must
become an organized labor force to have influence over
education policy and ultimately their own standard of
living. It is in recognition of this that CITA has over
9,200 members, and is still growing. CITA has
existed for 10 years and helped many teachers in Cambodia
- it is essential that they have the finances to cover
their modest operating expenses so that they can be
an influential voice for teachers in the long term.

A
long term goal of CITA is to be funded entirely from
membership dues. However because teachers are so poorly
paid, even the most modest dues are an extreme hardship
to them, meaning that donors like you are needed to
sustain CITA until teachers are closer to the economic
position they deserve.
